Alana Tutwiler is a freelance writer, spoken word artist, and social media/PR assistant. She performs and blogs as The Poetic Princess in her native Jacksonville, FL. She has performed spoken word at venues throughout the city, including Brother's Cafe, Endo Exo, and Poppy Love Smoke. In addition to blogging at 904 Underground, Alana also contributes to Section 8 Jax and is the Jacksonville Reggae Examiner for Examiner.com. As a social media/PR assistant, she works with a local hip-hop group, The Prolegend Movement, to garner publicity both online and in print for their shows and events, edits and updates their websites, and produces their e-newsletter, The Prolegend Planet. Her interviewing credits include The Prolegend Movement, Thrill Da Playa from 69 Boyz, Mosiah (a local reggae artist), and DJ Ian, the host of 93.3 The Beat's Reggae Vibrations show.
